Personal Data Protection Notice (KVKK)

Data controller

Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), TAM-TAŞ MAKİNA SAN. VE TİC. A.Ş. (the "Company"), as data controller, processes your personal data by recording, storing, updating, transferring and classifying it for business purposes within the framework described below.

To protect fundamental rights and freedoms, above all the privacy of private life, the Company takes all technical and administrative measures necessary to prevent unlawful processing of and access to personal data and to keep it secure.

This notice covers all natural persons whose personal data is processed by the Company, including visitors who use our website and its forms, our customers, suppliers and business partners, and candidates who apply through the careers form. Processing of employees' data is covered by a separate notice.

Personal data processed

Personal data processed includes, without limitation: name, surname, Turkish ID number, address, phone number, email address, signature, CCTV footage, call centre recordings, bank account number and cookie records.

Through the quote form on our website we also process your company name and the information you share about your product, packaging, weight, capacity and machine preferences.

Through the careers form we process your name, email, phone, the team you are interested in, your message, and the education, work experience and similar information in your CV. Please do not include special categories of personal data such as health, religion or photographs in your CV.

Purposes and legal grounds

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

– Providing our products and services to you or the organisation you represent; business strategy, marketing, business development and planning,

– Evaluating your quote and information requests and contacting you,

– Evaluating job applications and contacting candidates,

– Running communication operations and ensuring the physical security of our premises,

– Establishing relations with business partners, customers and suppliers; fulfilling contractual and financial obligations,

– Running human resources policies; organising trainings, seminars and events.

This processing relies on the legal grounds in Article 5 of the KVKK: establishment and performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, the legitimate interests of the data controller and, where required, your explicit consent.

Collection and retention

Your personal data is collected orally, in writing or electronically through our offices, call centre, website, social media and similar channels, and stored electronically and/or physically.

It is retained only for the stated purposes, for the period required by law or by the purpose of processing, and is then deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Quotation and information requests are kept for the duration of the business relationship and the limitation periods set by law; job applications are kept during the evaluation process and for up to 2 years afterwards. Server access logs are kept briefly for security purposes.

Transfer of personal data

Your personal data may be transferred, for the purposes above and in line with the law, to:

– Authorised companies and representatives acting on behalf of the Company,

– Public authorities legally entitled to request it,

– Business partners, suppliers and contractors, banks and financial institutions,

– Tax and legal advisers, auditors and other third-party service providers.

Service providers with servers abroad are used for hosting our website, usage statistics and delivering form notifications by email. These transfers are made with the appropriate safeguards required by Article 9 of the KVKK and, where necessary, with your explicit consent.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you may apply to the Company to learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties it is transferred to; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, and its deletion or destruction under Article 7 of the KVKK, and notification of these actions to third parties; object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

How to apply

You may submit your request in writing, together with information identifying you, by hand delivery to the address above, through a notary, or by secure e-signature to tamtas@tamtas.net. Requests are concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
